Paradiso del Mare Ocean and Inland EstatesMakar Properties, LLC submitted applications for Coastal Development Permits to develop two single-family residences and accessory structures on separate, adjacent parcels. The parcels are located south of Highway 101 approximately one mile west the City of Goleta. One application is for a residence on a 64.80-acre parcel that adjoins the ocean, referred to as the Ocean Estate (Case Number 06CDH-00000-00038/APN 079-200-004). The second application includes a residence on a 77.90- acre parcel that adjoins Highway 101, referred to as the Inland Estate (Case Number 06CDH-00000-00039/APN 079-200-008). The project also includes repairing an existing road and repairing and/or replacing four associated culverts that cross the railroad tracks (Case Number 06CDH-00000-00048). The Ocean Estate includes an approximately 8,042 square-foot residence (gross floor area; includes a 671 square-foot basement and 703 square-foot attached garage). The Inland Estate includes an approximately 12,413 square-foot residence (gross floor area; includes 1,271 square-foot basement). The project includes guest houses, garages and other accessory structures. Water lines and other utilities would be extended to the project site (Case Numbers 07CUP-00000-00065 and 09CDH-00000-00045). The project also includes offers to dedicate easements for public lateral access across the project site and vertical access to the beach.
