Proposed State Lease boundary extension


What's New

In a letter to the California State Lands Commission dated November 9, 2010, Venoco, Inc. has withdrawn its application for the Ellwood Full Field Project and does not intend to pursue the Project further.

Project Description

• Adjust State Lease PRC 3242.1 boundary eastward to allow development of the South Ellwood Field from Platform Holly
• Drill up to 40 new wells
• Oil production peak of 12,600 BPD after 5 years
• Gas production peak of 20 MMSCFD after 5 years
• Construct a new 10-mile onshore pipeline from the EOF to the Plains AAPL pipeline system at Las Flores Canyon
• Decommission and abandon Ellwood Marine Terminal and offshore loading facilities
• Safety and environmental upgrades at EOF and new power generation plant

• All agencies found the application complete for processing. For more information click on the following links:
